What are some jobs that could be good for someone who is excellent at video games?

One of my friends is extremely good at video games and claims it’s the only thing he’s good at.

I guess it would also include things like problem solving, and whatever else goes on in video games..

Please don’t suggest things like video game tester or designer, because his eyesight needs to stay in good condition and he isn’t all that great at designing & drawing, etc. etc. D=

    making burgers at mcdonalds. he can make it into a game and see how many he can make within a certian amount of time. if he is good he could go onto the secret level and battle the hamburgler for a spot on the happy meal.

    Customer/client service for an online video game company like Blizzard (Warcraft) or EA Games. They hire in-game client support people - might be up your friend’s alley.

    Game tester (or game designer, though that’s a lot more competitive) would probably be a good fit for your friend, actually. Only game artists need to know how to draw, and if he isn’t already drawing on every surface that doesn’t move, he isn’t really cut out to be a game artist. And nearly every job these days involves sitting in front of a computer screen, so the eyesight issue shouldn’t matter either way.

    If your friend really loves games, he should seriously look into game testing (usually called Quality Assurance) or customer service for games. Both require game knowledge and problem solving skills.
