How can I balance school work and video games?

Video Games
Asdfsdf S asked:

I am majoring in Computer Science. I am an undergrad and so far I like it and I am doing ok, but that is because I have free time to play video games a lot. I want to go to grad school and get a masters in Computer Science, but the only thing stopping me is video games. I know I won’t have free time if I am going for a Masters. Is there a possibility to still play video games and get a masters degree? Thanks for any input.

You can’t do both… It’s basically your education..or video games.. Video games to me are the single worst invention.. It’s making the world fat..lazy… Pretty when you get in the habit of that…You’ll start losing interest in your studies…. Just put video games out of your life for a day..Then you’ll see that you have time to do so many things you thought you never could..

I commend you for the ambition to excel in computer science by earning a Masters degree in it. If you’re really serious, I know you will make the grade. As for video games, everyone needs recreation and diversion. So it’s just a matter of budgeting your time accordingly. I don’t see why you can’t devote a certain amount of time for both study and play. You may have less time than you do now, but you can still break away from studies, as long as you don’t drift away from your goals. Work out a schedule that allows you to pursue both your Masters and your recreation. But never lose sight of what is really important to you and your future. Good luck!
