How would you react to a video game with references about your religion?

Max asked:

I am thinking about writing a video game using religious people, situations, and stories woven in from many holy books. Like being in the Whale in King’s Quest IV, that kind of thing.

Would you like that I mentioned your religion, be indifferent, upset, send me anthrax? Would you still play it if it looked fun? How about atheists/agnostics, would you play?

Muslims, how would you feel about it? In light of LittleBigPlanet having to remove certain lyrics from the game because they offended some Muslims, I wanted to know how Muslims on here feel about such games.

I definitely didn’t mind playing Assassin’s Creed, and that game was pretty religious, story-wise.

as long as it was respectful you can make references to Christianity all you want…

I would go and make a big fuss about it and cry to the developers. If the game isnt released yet, it would be even better because I cry even harder to get them to remove the content.

In effect, I would be delaying the game and making the whole world angry, but it’s ok, I am a religious person. I have the right to do that. My religion is more important than anyone or anything in the world.

Everybody knows my religion is right and whatever bad talk or misguided information about it must be spoken against. Who cares if other people dont believe in the same religion as me. Who cares if those people believe in Buddha and I believe in God. If someone talks bad about God, then those people that believe in Buddha will also have to suffer.

Who cares if I act selfish and cry about things that only matter to me and a minority. Remember, I am a religious person. I have the right to do whatever I want just like how everyone has the right to do what they want. They just cant marry someone of the same *** because it is against my religion.
