How do I start a video game club?

My high school is pretty new (three years). I looked over all the clubs and didn’t find a single one I liked. Then I had an idea. Why not start a video game club next year? I know people that like to game. There are plenty of people willing to be advisors. But what will I do in the club?

For all you gamers out there, what would you like to be in a video game club anyway? Should there be community sevice? You tell me.

Well if theres going to be a video game club you have to have a few consoles! like, bring your xbox360 from home or buy one for the club. Even Ps2 or psp or something.

The one at my school had LAN parties once a month. They also got together and got people to donate games for charities that put game consoles in hospitals for kids to play.

I guess you have already understood what to keep in a game club. As a game club organizer, you should try to bring some new types of hardware and corresponding software. You should ask yourself the question “how to make the game club look interesting/different from others?”.
Once you start the gamers club, your duty would be to make it a ‘happening’ place. You should conduct competitions, training sessions, allot budget to give away prize stuff etc. More than all, maintaining the club in a good condition is mandatory.
